We, the Green Office at Heidelberg University of Education, are an initiative of students who have been campaigning for more sustainability and education for sustainable development (ESD) at our university since 2023. With a wide variety of projects and campaigns, we not only want to raise awareness of sustainability, but also actively bring about change. For example, we have already organised a plant swap, initiated a clothes swap shelf in the old building of the PH and supported the Fashion Revolution Week.
In addition to organising sustainable events, our long-term goal is to become a central point of contact for the topic of sustainability at Heidelberg University of Applied Sciences - for students and staff alike. The "Green Office" will serve as an interface and coordination centre for sustainability initiatives and help to drive these efforts forward both within the university and in a social context, particularly in education.
