Programs and Degrees

The department provides philosophy courses as part of the university’s teacher education programs on the bachelor and master level, preparing students to be philosophy or ethics teachers at secondary schools and at special schools. In addition, philosophy classes are part of the general education offered to all bachelor students who are studying to become teachers.

We also offer a program leading to a doctorate in philosophy. Furthermore, a habilitation (post-doctoral lecturing qualification) in philosophy can be received at our university.
