Thomas Tajo is a teacher of echolocation and bodily spatial awareness, including for the non-profit organization "Vision Inclusive" in Europe, the USA and India. The activist and consultant with blindness lives in Brussels and gives workshops and lectures on sensory orientation for people with and without blindness and visual impairment in the context of education and science.
Thomas Tajo is coming to Heidelberg University of Education on Tuesday, May 3th 2022 at the invitation of the Art Department: To present a new cultural and scientific framework for inclusive thinking and to serve a new model for inclusive practices, his lecture will explore the concept of "BioPlasticity" as a concept that has broad open view about the capacities of biological beings [whether human or non-human]. This concept derived from latest scientific understanding in the fields of evolutionary biology, epigenetics, and neuroscience about the capacities of biological beings.
The public event takes place in the "Mehrzweckhalle" (Keplerstraße 87, D-69120 Heidelberg). Event starts at 6:15 p.m. The lecture will be held in English.
