International visiting professors spend up to six weeks at Heidelberg University of Education between October and February (winter term) and between April and July (summer term).

During this period, they give two public lectures and teach one course (28 lesson hours at 45 minutes) open to our undergraduate and MA students. Courses should be taught in English or German. Courses taught in English are very welcome. 

The University covers travel expenses to and from Heidelberg up to 1.600,- Euro (economy class airfare) as well as accommodation in Heidelberg (Midori The Green Guest House) a Campus Card (for use of cafeteria and library systems) and a Honorar equivalent to the payment of a course

Eligible are full, associate and assistant professors from universities abroad. As Heidelberg University of Education does not pay a salary to the visiting professors they should be tenured faculty on a sabbatical or on vacation. An established academic co-operation to a professor at Heidelberg University of Education is expected from the applicant.

• If possible: evidence on course evaluations
