Welcome to the Testothek website. Here you will find all the important information about borrowing our numerous test and support procedures. We look forward to your visit.
The Department of Psychology organises and operates a central test library in room 126 (old building), which has been available to all members of the University of Education for many years as a lending service for numerous recognised scientific diagnostic procedures.
The current stock includes so many procedures that interested parties could get to know a new one every day of the year (including weekends and public holidays!). Important tests (e.g. WISC V, SON-R 2-8 & 6-40, SET 5-10, FEW-3 and others) are usually available several times over, so that the Testothek can call a proud number of over 800 tests its own. In addition to a large number of support programmes, the Testothek also has licences for computer evaluation, so that evaluation can be carried out on the Testothek PC during opening hours.
Most of the tests are available in the form of folders, while some are available as test boxes or test cases. It is therefore advisable to plan transport for larger test cases.
The loan period is at least 2 weeks, depending on requirements, and can be extended if the media have not been reserved by other users. Five tests can be borrowed at the same time.
The loan itself is carried out via the library system aDIS, so that it is possible to research the tests and reserve them if necessary. With the help of the library's account function, every user can keep track of borrowed media.
In addition to borrowing tests, it is also possible to familiarise yourself with certain procedures or evaluate a test that has just been carried out during our opening hours.
What do I need to bear in mind when borrowing media from us?
Materials from the Testothek may only be borrowed by members of the PH Heidelberg.
To ensure that as many users as possible have access to the test materials, borrowing is limited to a total of 3 media (in exceptional cases a maximum of 5). As a rule, these may be borrowed for 2 weeks at a time.
Please check that the tests you have borrowed are complete before leaving the Testothek.
All tests contain a list of the contents.
If you notice that materials are missing, you are obliged to report this immediately to the Testothek staff. After leaving the Testothek, you are responsible and liable for the test materials.
We only have a limited number of test and evaluation forms available. Please handle them carefully and make copies for your records if necessary. Only one sheet may be issued per student.
We ask all users to handle the test materials with care. Please refrain from making notes, highlighting and post-its in the manuals or other test parts. Please report any damage to the Testothek team upon return.
Media from the Testothek can be extended online via the library account by up to 2 weeks if they have not been reserved. The tests must then be returned. If there is still a need to borrow items, they can be borrowed again after they have been returned.
Media from the Testothek can be searched in the library system and can be reserved if they have already been borrowed by other users. In order to ensure the best possible availability of tests, we ask you to only reserve tests that you really need and to delete your own reservations as soon as they are no longer current.
In order to ensure good coordination of lending, reservations for a desired time (e.g. for a seminar presentation in a certain seminar week) must be communicated to the Testothek by the lecturers at the beginning of the semester.
The amount of the reminder fees corresponds to those of the library and is to be paid in the library.
Users of Testothek media are responsible for protecting the data collected from the tested individuals when using them. To this end, care should be taken to ensure that the data collected is used confidentially and in anonymised form. At no time should names or other information (such as the e-mail address) be found that could be clearly assigned to an individual. Completed test forms or data strings that have been provided with a clear name and/or date of birth in the context of digital testing are particularly problematic. We strongly recommend anonymising the test person, for example by providing initials. Before returning test library media, check whether documents/information relevant to data protection have been removed. If such information is no longer required, we recommend destroying/deleting this data. This recommendation also applies to digitally recorded data. The Testothek attaches particular importance to compliance with the data protection regulations applicable at the University of Teacher Education. As soon as you have borrowed Testothek media for testing/support, you are responsible for
a) protecting the personal data collected from you against misuse,
b) the protection of this data against loss or alteration,
c) test protection as protection of tests and principles of evaluation against general disclosure.
The Testothek merely provides the media material and is at no time responsible for the protection of the points listed under a), b) and c).
