Institut für Geographie und Geokommunikation

The Institute of Geography and Geocommunication at the University of Education wishes you a successful and exciting start to your degree programme. To give you a clearer idea of what the Geography degree programme entails and the facilities on campus, Professor Dr A. Siegmund briefly introduces the Geography programme in the following video. We hope this will answer many of your questions. However, should you have any further queries or require advice, please feel free to contact Dr R. Ditter. He is on hand to offer advice and support and looks forward to answering your questions.

As the Institute of Geography and Geocommunication (rGeo), we combine research and education. We conduct research into topics of social relevance and train our students and future teachers.

It represents the interests of Geography students on various committees, provides support for first-year students, and acts as a point of contact and mediator in the event of any issues. Anyone interested in getting involved with the student council is warmly invited to get in touch with its members.
