The CampusCard is the multifunctional student ID card of the PH Heidelberg. With the CampusCard you can prove your student status, pay in the canteen, use the library and much more. You can find everything you need to know about its functions and use as well as information on problems and loss here.
The CampusCard is very versatile and contains the following functions:
Student ID card with passport photo
Payment function of the Studierendenwerk (e.g. for the canteen, photocopier, vending machines)
Library card for the library of the PH Heidelberg
Library card for the university library
Access to the services of the university's computer centre (URZ)
When you enrol, you will also be set up with a user account for the services of the Heidelberg University Computer Centre (URZ for short). For this purpose, a Uni-ID will be created for you, which is printed on your CampusCard.
You will receive the access data and the activation password for your URZ user account by post after your enrolment together with other study documents.
This will give you access to media in the university library, for example, and you can use the university's WLAN via eduroam and also printers/copiers.
All students of the PH Heidelberg receive the CampusCard. Guest students and other external students who are not enrolled at Heidelberg University of Applied Sciences do not receive a CampusCard. If you still wish to use the library or facilities of the Studierendenwerk, please contact the respective institution directly.
In order for us to issue you with a CampusCard, all you have to do is enrol. As part of the online enrolment process, you also submit a digital passport photo. This will be used to create the CampusCard. The photo remains stored digitally in the CAMPUSPortal during your time as a student. Please make sure that your entire face is clearly recognisable from the front in the photo. However, a biometric passport photo is not necessary.
You must validate the CampusCard, otherwise it is not valid as a student ID. During validation, the date of the start of your studies and the end of the semester for which you have enrolled or re-registered are printed on a designated field on the CampusCard. You must carry out the validation yourself at one of the validation stations. You will find these in the old building in front of the auditorium and in the new building next to the side exit to the new lecture theatre building. After validation, the student ID card is valid for the current semester and must be revalidated after each re-registration. Please note that the CampusCard may not be signed!
Would you like to pay with your CampusCard in the canteen or at photocopiers, for example? To use these and other Studierendenwerk services, you can top up your CampusCard at the terminals. You will find the terminals in the canteens and halls of residence of the Studierendenwerk, where you can top up with cash or EC card.
Do you use Paypal? Then you can also top up your credit online:

If your CampusCard is not found or handed in, you will receive a new card for a fee of 10.00 euros. Please contact the SSC or the Student Office by email. The credit will be transferred to your new CampusCard and it will no longer be possible to access it using your old card. Please note that for technical reasons it is not possible to block a lost card without issuing a new CampusCard!
A name change can be reported via the CAMPUS portal. To do this, submit official proof of the name change (e.g. marriage certificate, valid dgti supplementary identity card).
