Your study plan helps you to plan your degree programme in the standard period of study. It shows you how your degree programme is structured semester by semester, e.g. when you should ideally take which modules, how many credit points (ECTS) you should earn or when practical phases are planned for the Bachelor's degree in Primary Education. You can find it in the module handbook and in the study and examination regulations.
Each semester, the examination schedule provides you with a timetable of the days on which your examinations in the individual subjects or areas of study take place.

The Master's degree programme in Primary Education is divided into two parts: a university component and a practical component. You complete the university degree programme with a Master's examination. After successfully completing 12 months of preparatory service, you will be awarded the Masterof Education(M.Ed.) degree.
If you would like to teach at primary schools, you must complete the 18-month preparatory service (Referendariat) and can then work as a teacher in the state school service. In addition, it is also possible to work in a pedagogical field such as educational and family counselling, all-day school supervision or in educational centres after completing a Master's degree in Primary School Teaching.
Once a year, the Student Orientation and Counselling Service (SOBS ) organises the information event "Ab ins REF!", at which contact persons from the offices involved provide detailed advice on the preparatory service.
An academic career or doctorate is also possible after the Master of Education. The Graduate School of the PH Heidelberg will be happy to support you.
