Art

Our subject is dedicated to exploring forms of artistic expression, visual design processes and reflection on visual and artistic culture within historical, social and media contexts. The Art degree programme focuses both on students’ own artistic and practical work and on the theoretical and pedagogical study of art and visual education.

Here is a brief glimpse into the ‘BEST OF 25’ annual exhibition.

On display were works by art students who had submitted their best pieces from the year. The exhibition showcased a diverse range of works reflecting the students’ varied ideas, techniques and designs.

During the opening reception, the most outstanding piece was awarded the Rainer Wild Art Foundation’s prize for exceptional artistic achievement.

As the Art Students’ Association, we are committed to fostering a creative, open and inspiring study programme that brings the diversity of artistic expression to life. Our focus is on exchanging ideas on art education, our own creative practice and current discourses. Together, we create space for ideas, projects and a strong sense of community within the department.

Here you will find the current timetable for the Art programme, the block sessions for this semester, and the range of university courses open to students on the Art programme.
