Campus map and building opening hours

Teachers have been trained in Heidelberg since 1904. Back then, it was still in a small house in Bergstraße. A lot has changed since then: For example, today we study, teach, research and work at over 15 locations - spread across the entire city - and shape education in the process. On this page you will find an overview of the campus map and building opening times.

Car parks and opening hours

We recommend travelling by public transport, as parking in the Bergheim, Handschuhsheim, Neuenheim and Weststadt districts is limited and only available for a maximum of two hours. Paid parking is available in Neuenheimer Feld.

Different opening hours apply to our buildings during the lecture period. Further information can be found in the Study section.

The main entrance to Heidelberg University of Education at Keplerstraße 87 has its own campus map and building opening hours.

Note on room naming

The rooms at our university are labelled with unique letter combinations in front of the room number; the building code and room number are always separated by a ".".

Example:
Room "G.407" is located on the 4th floor of the Czernyring building, room "Z3.-103" is located in the basement of the Zeppelinstraße 3 building. Only the rooms in the old building are not preceded by a letter.
