Qualification

We recommend that anyone interested in finding out more about HKT first takes part in a user training course; however, this is not a prerequisite for qualifying as an HKT instructor. Following this, there is the opportunity to train as an HKT instructor. Heidelberg University of Education offers qualification seminars exclusively for its students, with the aim of training them to become HKT instructors. This qualification forms the basis for the subsequent HKT qualification levels.

The training programme comprises a four-day basic seminar in which participants acquire knowledge of the content of the Heidelberg Competence Training programme, as well as the methodological skills required to deliver it. In line with the ‘pedagogical double-decker’ approach, these are experienced through hands-on practice.

Successful participants in the basic seminar who have also:

  • have actively carried outtwo HKT projects and documented both projects.
  • can provide evidence, in the form of a certificate, that both projects were supervised by a qualified HKT supervisor.

Certification as an HKT instructor enables the independent delivery of user training courses using the content learnt.

On the FQHKT e.V. website, you will find certified who can support you on your path to qualification.
