In March 2026, Junior Professor Dr Katja Schwemmer from the Department of English visited our host university Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) as part of ERASMUS+ STT (Staff Mobility for Training).
At OsloMet, Schwemmer engaged in an in-depth professional dialogue with Prof. Dr Dina Tsagari and other colleagues in the Department of Primary and Secondary Teacher Education, focusing on assessment and teaching formats as well as current research projects at both universities. Schwemmer also provided insights into her current research in her guest lecture, “Current Perspectives on Teaching Young Language Learners: Chunks, CLIL, Education for Democracy, and English in the Digital Wilds”, at OsloMet. Katja Schwemmer also used her visit to exchange ideas with two students, Leonie Demmer and Carla Schröder from the PH HD, who are currently spending a semester abroad at OsloMet.
