Veronika Fröhlich, a highly regarded lecturer and colleague in the English department, is taking her well-deserved retirement at the end of the current winter term 25/26. This was reason enough for former and current colleagues (fellow lecturers, students, teaching staff and family) to spend an afternoon at the University of Teacher Education, chatting over coffee and cake, catching up on the department’s current projects (including DigiDiv, SPLENDID, ReaLiTea), and, above all, to give Veronika Fröhlich a fitting send-off. We will particularly remember her tenacity in the face of all adversity, her cheerful nature – which lives up to her name – but above all her long-standing commitment to supporting students and teaching staff during their semester placements, as well as her stimulating seminars. Her work on the TALE project was recently honoured once again with an award. Thanks are also due to Prof. Dr Andreas Müller-Hartmann, who had prepared some kind words to mark the occasion.
