[hop] The anthology *LanguageS Learning: Research and Pedagogies on Bi- and Multilingualism*, edited by PHHD English lecturers Jutta Rymarczyk and Katja Schwemmer, is devoted to current research and pedagogical approaches to promoting bilingualism and multilingualism in institutional (foreign language) learning. Against the backdrop of global migration and advancing digitalisation, multilingualism is a lived reality for young learners.
The volume, featuring contributions from international researchers, addresses, amongst other things, the question of how this everyday multilingualism can be specifically addressed and further developed in the classroom through pedagogical approaches and concepts. It also discusses the potential of current research findings on bi-, multi- and plurilingualism for teacher training and continuing professional development.
The thematic scope of this volume ranges from the attitudes of teachers and learners in the context of multilingualism, through the implementation and empirical evaluation of the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) teaching method, and the incorporation of languages of origin into (foreign language) teaching, to the potential of multilingual digital learning environments.
