The research interests of the Institute's members are primarily focussed on the following areas:

  • emotional-motivational development,

  • Development and promotion of (written) language skills,

  • diagnostic competences of (prospective) teachers,

  • Professional knowledge of (prospective) teachers,

  • test-diagnostic approaches.

In practice, there is a great need for reliable and valid diagnostic tools to identify late talkers. We provide scientifically based parent questionnaires and accompanying materials to support their use, particularly for daycare centres, paediatricians' practices, parents and guardians.
