At the Institute of Philosophy and Theology, research is based on the individual areas of specialisation of the lecturers. It combines academic rigour with issues relevant to education and practice. In doing so, the theological and philosophical subjects foster an interdisciplinary and ecumenically oriented dialogue that focuses in particular on the connection between theory and educational practice.
