Science communication and networking, alumni programme and innovation management - the Transfer Centre sees itself as an interface between science and society. As a central institution of the PH Heidelberg, it establishes contacts within the university. In addition, the Transfer Centre provides innovative services, advice and process support to help academics make an impact on society with their research.

Would you like to collaborate with the university on a project? Are you looking for a long-term cooperation? Are you planning an event and would like to involve the university? Would you like to make contact with our students? We can help you find the right contact person at the university and put you in touch quickly and easily.

We offer advice and process support in order to realise projects with external partners or to establish contacts within the university. Get to know transfer fields and tools such as science communication, podcast production or new work in online workshops.

The network with our alumni is particularly important to us: In this lively network, our alumni actively contribute their knowledge and experience to the university community and benefit from networking and further education programmes.

Our rooms not only look beautiful, but can also be rented by members of the university and its cooperation partners. The rooms are centrally located, creating great opportunities to exchange ideas and get to know each other. There is also an open coworking session in our rooms every Monday.

Five years ago today, the Heidelberg University of Education’s transfer centre was opened on Bergheimer Straße.

Transfer Centre celebrates its fifth anniversary

Five years ago today, the Heidelberg University of Education’s transfer centre was opened on Bergheimer Straße.

The Transfer Centre of the Heidelberg University of Education is located in the Bergheim district: in the immediate vicinity of the main railway station, the depot stop (including lines 24, 26, 32, 35) and opposite the Landfried complex. The modern offices are located in a historic brick building in the North German Art Nouveau style, which housed a cigar factory from 1905 to 1959 (first Gebr. Maier, after expropriation in 1941 Brinkmann GmbH).

In addition to the offices, the transfer centre also offers a large meeting room and a design thinking room for agile collaboration. Both rooms are available to all members of Heidelberg University of Education and our cooperation partners and are ideal for creative workshops, events and meetings. Courses are only permitted in exceptional cases.

The first online meeting of the Advisory Board in December 2024.

Since 2024, the Transfer Centre has been supported in its work by an advisory board. The advisory board consists of up to eight members, including members of Heidelberg University of Education, but also external members who represent all three sectors: State, market and civil society. The meetings take place annually and always focus on a key topic. In addition, the members of the advisory board are also in close contact.

Access and car park
Access to the building is via the inner courtyard in Mittermaierstraße. Please note that the car parks in the inner courtyard are not open to the public. Bicycle parking is available and there are good public transport connections.
