How nice that you have found your way to our website! If you're curious about who we are, what we do and what events we organise, you've come to the right place.
As an independent student council, we represent you vis-à-vis the lecturers and thus ensure good networking in the department. Our events also contribute to a good exchange between students, but also between students and lecturers. We are always open to questions about your studies - just drop us a line.
First and foremost, we are your contacts for questions and concerns about the subject of music, its structures and lecturers. But that's not all: in addition to the monthly student council meetings, where we discuss everything that's coming up in the respective semester, you'll find us above all at music events. In consultation with the responsible lecturers, we provide sufficient catering. You will recognise us (whether we are carrying crates of drinks, behind the bar or at the pretzel stand) by our student council logo.
Once a semester, we offer everyone who wants to get a taste of the stage the chance to do just that: At Stage Time, our own event, we have everything you need for your performance: Stage, bar, audience and good vibes - whether for bands or solo artists.
We organise a music hut for our first-year students at the beginning of each semester. Want to meet new people? No problem. Here you have the opportunity to connect with your fellow students (and with us, of course). If you have any further questions, our Studdy buddies are there to help you through the jungle of stud.ip, moodle, the module handbook and everything else.
What else is there? Our pub crawl through Heidelberg, music get-togethers on the Neckarwiese, running dinners, exchanges with student councils from all over Baden-Württemberg and anything else the music department can think of spontaneously.
We have an internal Studdy Buddy programme with which we would like to support our first-year students at the start of their music studies. Students from the student council are available to you as contact persons and will advise you on all challenges and ideas for your individual studies. Whether it's the choice of instrument, the organisation of your timetable or the general planning of your (music) studies. This can be a very helpful support, especially at the beginning of your studies, which is why we would like to recommend this service to you.
You will receive further information on this at the information event organised by the music department or by email in the first week of lectures.
